Weezy's Diary .....

Wow, Almost a year since I posted anything to my diary!

Hi every body! happy New Year, etc.

Where did 2004 and go? March 2004 I started this diary, or at least that where it looks like I started... and here we are January 2005 almost Feb and I'm still plugging away at keeping the weight off

Spring and summer 2004 were okay for weight maintenance, but really stressful as far as daily life was concerned. As soon as the cold weather hit in the fall, the usual eating problems began. I find that when the weather is cold, my body wants carbs and it is a daily battle to keep away from pasta and bread.

I was horrified to note that by Christmas, the new, smaller sized jeans were no longer willing to close ... I was back up from a 27 waist to a 29 ... ....

I had been off Xenadrine for longer than the usual 3 months, hoping to do without that special boost, but had to go back on at the end of December. :(

Thank heavens for stretch denim is all I can say

The excercise routine has also been screwed up due to a computer related injury affecting my right shoulder and wrist. No weight lifting is allowed by the therapist and I have to be very careful what Pilates routines I use ....

However, on the plus side - I am still working out EVERY morning before breakfast, I have increased my daily water intake from 8 glasses to over 16 ... my skins looks pretty good and (this one is a biggie for me) I found a supplement which is helping my circulation and varicose veins. this ties into the exercise thing, since the veins were starting to interfere with thing like walking and running.:(

Best to everyone

Happy New Year, I hope your shoulder and wrist get better in the near future. Good on you for finding a new way to work out.

Thank you Rosered!

I appreciate the encouragement.

I also hope the shoulder and wrist get better soon too .... gardening season will soon be here and I'm a landscape designer ;-(.

I have to apply ice to the area at least two to three times daily, and it still hurts like stink. It may have something to do with bad posture at the computer, have to see what the therapist says.

Have nice one!

Cheers

i have been looking for different exercises to do thank you. know i can do some of these while watching tv or after my other workout.

now i am really confused. i was looking over the chart that weezy posted, and for the past week i have cut out alot of things i should not eat, drank more water than i ever had, and i lost 3 pounds on my first weigh in. do i add more proten cause i thought that made you gain weight, or do i watch how much calories and fat or in what every it is i am eating. this whole health thing is way confusing, but i will keep plugging along.

i tried the ball to and i fell off of it. and i have a dvd to go along with it. but like they say when you fall off the horse get back on and try again. i guess it will have to be the same way with the ball. when we fall off get back on and try again.

Has anyone tried the bean?

The ads make it seem easier then the ball in that you don't fall off it as much ;)
I haven't seen it or tried the ball for that matter.

Hi Blessing22

I laughed when I read your message. I am so darned accident prone, I trip and fall over my own feet, so the ball is quite a challenge.

Well Blessing 22, it sounds like you've made a good start any way ...even if you are confused.:)

My dietery consultant says that proteins are not the big problem - carbs and carbohydrates are/........having said that however, we can't totally eliminate carbs and calories from our diet.

Best plan is to have the carb and calories first thing - then tail off toward the end of the day.

Now you're thinking "she must be crazy!" :(

But no.:D

You should eat a good, solid breakfast to get you started, wholewheat toast (carbs/Calories), cereal (carbs/calories), fruit (carbs/calories), eggs, meat, fish, cheese (Protein).

I do this daily - couldn't get through my landscaping if I didnt.

thanks to a friendly email from some on this forum, I found out about Hoodia. I have begun taking a diet aid called SlimNow which is not poure Hoodia, but contains it. WOW!!!!! I am no longer like a ravening beast between meals, and have been gradually losing as a result. It really works as a NATURAL appetite supressent. No nastyu side effects, just you're no hungry.:D :D :D

Anyway, healthy eating will be worth your while for many reasons. You will be fitter and you will lose weight. You may not lose a lot at once, but You WILL lose and you will feel better and more fit.

Cheers

September 2006 Update

Well, I posted in August that I had NOT been posting because I had been too busy - and here we go again.

Since August I got yet more landscaping gigs, and between the incredibly draining physical work and the long hours, I have been LOSING inches!!!!!

I have now settled into a new regime, one which suits me because of the huge amount of strenuous outdoor work I do, and also suits my body.

8 to 10 glasses of water; 3 fruits daily, 2 slices of wholewheat bread; protein in the form of eggs, cheeses and ham or fish, LOTS of nice fresh salads - I crave them. a protein fruit bar called EleVateMe _ wonderful. Prunes, cranberries, all bran and fresh melon for breakfast. One Slim Now capsule after each meal.

I continue to work out and do special stretches EVERY morning before breakfast.

1) I have BICEPS!!!!! YAY. ( LOVE wearing muscle shirts ha ha ha)

2) the gross and disgusting old-age flab under my upper arms - gone - coverted to nice hard muscle ..I can wear sleeveless tops again ......

3) My sprained and stretched wrist and knee ligaments are healing and I am depending less and less on supports - the special wrist strengthening excercises given to me by my therapist have worked well.

4) My tummy, though not totally as flat as I'd like, has reduced and no longer bulges stupidly.

5) My skin is looking great. No pimples, lines are smoothing out and people keep telling me I look amazing (hey, I like it)

6) My jean size is decreasing, and I can wear a 28 waist with comfort (not puffing and lying on my back to do the zipper up ;-))

So, although it has been hectic, tiring and strenuous, all in all, it's been a good year.
