Hello!

My name's Rob.

I'm trying to drop from 230 pounds to 170 pounds.

I already dropped from 310 pounds to 230 pounds. It took me about one and a half years to do that (back in 2004-2005). During 2005 and 2006, I ran almost every day and had an easy time of maintaining 240-ish, but I definitely didn't put that extra little effort into my diet and exercise program that I needed to keeping dropping.

So yeah, now I'm on here and I think everyone I've seen who has lost weight is doing an awesome job because I know how damn hard it is. I'm 5'8 or so and kind of built but only slightly more-so than average. I look forward to reading into all of the tips, tricks, support and everything else on this website.

Welcome to the forum.
I am in a similar situation to you. I have lost about 40lbs so far, but need to kick it up to loose some more. (quite a lot more actually!)
I managed to loose the first bit myself, but know I have joined the forum to pick up tips from all the great people on here so that I can keep it going.
