Hellllo to everyone out there.

My name is Lo and I'm currently suffering through a rainy, gloomy day. On the upside, I came across this community yesterday, really had the chance to explore today and am completely floored by how supportive everyone is.

As such, I've decided to join. I'm currently in grad school for my MBA up in New England. I have this complete and utter inability to shed about 40-50 lbs and KEEP it off. I haven't gotten on a scale in a few weeks, but I think I tip them at around 197. I'm 5'8" so ideally I'd love to return to the 150s. I believe the last time I saw that range was in December 2006.

I've been eating quite a bit better the last couple of weeks, and returned to the gym and have been doing some strength training and about 45 minutes of cardio per visit (4 times a week. I'm hoping to nudge that up to 5).

So yeah. On with it I suppose! :)

Your weight seems similar to my own goals. Sounds like you've got a good work ethic, good luck with trying to balance school and working out, that's my biggest achilles heel. There's tons of support here so just questions and you'll find a ton of support!

Hi cathaea!

Thanks for the welcome :) My work ethic is pretty good, I work full time on top of school as well, so my time to work out is minimal, but I've been squeezing in 1.5-2 hour workouts between 830 and 1030PM on nights I don't have school. I'm still struggling to wake up early to try and get a good walk or run in before work on days I have school.

Since we have similar goals, maybe we could keeps tabs on each other and make sure neither of us (really...me) falls off the wagon! :)

That sounds great! I'm the worst for putting off working out because I'm so busy with work and school but school is over so I have one less excuse! (in theory, anyway!)
