Wants to lose ALOT of weight, eh Please HELP!

Hello Everyone, I'm a newcomer on this forum I've been reading alot of posts since the day i've registered here and I see alot of motivation and good advises on this forum but at the same time I am also a bit confused with from where to start Let me tell you about myself I'm a 25 year old male my current weigh is 190LBS and waistline (Which is the thing i really want to decrease) is right now 39' I'd love to go back to 31 or 32 I'm 6' tall my question is that from where should i start what kind of diet should i take i've started walking everyday for atleast one hour I'm a little confused about the food i see threads where people say that you should eat small meals like 5 times are day what those meals are? should i strictly stay on vegetarian diet if yes what kind of vegetables should i eat what should i eat in breakfast? and after how many hours should eat lunch and then dinner or anyone have any better ideas to as if how can i trim my belly to my desired waist? I overall do not look fat it is just my belly which has started hanging and which is what i hate it I'm losing my self confidence and i cant wear my clothes and its getting harder for me to wear jeans now since my belly is always coming out whick looks bad, PLEASE PLEASE HELP

another newbie to this site.


I am also looking into loosing weight, i am 43 years of age and 6'1" tall, stopped smoking January 2006 and piled on 2 1/2 stone, my wife and kids are nagging me to cut back on my ever expanding waiste line.

Before i went to Turkey this year i just happened to look in the mirror at my self and to my astonishment i had not realised i had got so big, at first i thought it was my wife playing tricks on me with one of those funny mirrors you can get, but to my disgrace i was that big.

So i cut out the crisps, chocolate, bacon butties, bread, and managed to loose 1/2 a stone in four weeks, but went on my jollies and put a stone back on, but to be honest that was the beer i drunk! i am not a lazy person my work involves me running up and down ladders or stairs all day 3 or 4 times a week with me sat at my computor the rest of the time or running around with organising my darts league.

My Kids run me raggid, being the best taxi driver ever, i mow my 60' foot garden twice a week, so to me i shouldn't be as big as i am!

i am now looking at methods of loosing it again, infact just finished chomping on a fresh carrot, once again i am cutting out choclate, crisp, bread on the occasional time, my wife feeds me plenty of meat with little spuds and loads of vegitables, when i say a load of veg i mean a plate full of veg (half a cabbage) with some meat and a few spuds.

whilst on the net i came across a website with some good links with information on to try help us loose the weight, you had to by some of the things but there was a freebie on there that may be of some use.

I've read your story and 1stly would like to congrats you on quitting on your smokings.

Glad to hear that your on a strict diet now with only eating veges and meat. Just a tip, becareful not too much of the meat. Yes it gives you a lot of carbo and protein, but, we still consider that as animal fat and we call it saturated fat. Too uch of those will eventually turn into your body fat if you do not burn those extra calories and do bare in mind, when you tend to lose weight, not only you will lose on your body fat, but also your muscles as well. So when you do not have enough physical ratings to burn those extra calories, your body will start to grow big again and we call this term, "the yo-yo" scale. Which means when a person stops his/her dieting program, they will eventually doubled up their size cos they were only loosing muscles at the very beginning and not the fat. so when you continue to eat back after you're bored with the dieting program, you are actually putting in more fat than ever :)

So, be very very careful with what you eat in your dieting program...

My Answers
1. I'm dead serious to loose some weight and reduce my waist which is almost 39 inch.
2. Around 15kgs.
3. I've tried few diets like having vegetables taking small meals 5 times a day going to the gym walking and what not.
4. It didn't work because whenever i go on diet i feel gas and acidity in my stomach which i can't resist.
5. I wanna try to loose weight because i want to loose weight, lol.
6. Yes.


Please let me know how can you help as far as the picture is concerned i do not look very fat in the pictures it is just my tummy which is hanging outside i use to be waist 30 - 31 2 years ago. Please help me sir.

Welcome to WLF. Hope you're enjoying your healthy new eating habits. Why not post your day's food here? And post your physical activity too. It sounds like you get a lot of activity.
 
I just wanted to add that I once got to know someone who sold me Herbalife and it cost be more than $600+ for the set. After taking it, I did loose weight but I also develope some lower quadrant abdominal pain, when I stopped taking Herbalife, the pain stopped. To me it was weird. A few months later, my sister got her welness coach to come to her place and when I showed her my herbalife, she actually said that the Herbalife I bought was an expired bunch. In fact, Hebalife no longer produce the old packaging which was the one I got. I felt so cheated, I tried to look for an expiry date but it cant be found, when I checked other bottles of the new herbalife at that time, there were expiry dates but you can easily rub it off with soap and water. Ofcourse, that guy who is also a so called wellness coach never refunded me nor did he admit to selling me expired items. Im not blaming herbalife as I sometimes take it only in the mornings that I dont have breakfasts as a meal replacement but I really dont recommend buying such things online, as how I did. You just do not know what you are getting and if the person on the other end is truly honest. Just my experience.
