Hi all im new to this - never even posted on a forum before so please bear with me.
Im 25 168 pounds and want to lose 2-3 stone. I dont want to do this in a rush - just in the healthiest way possible. I feel I am stuck in a rut and will keep gaining weight if I dont make a life change.
I have started last week by eating fresh healthy low cal food - although keep eating bloody chedder cheese and chocolate (not together though :) ) and would like some ideas on how to really kickstart things.
My aim is to lose a few pounds by September.
I am quite lazy - sadly - hate the idea of a gym. I have a crosstrainer at home - dusty at the moment and like swimming - cossy is also v dry at the moment lol. I also work full time and use this as an excuse for not exercising much.

Any tips/ ideas / motivation would be greatly appreciated!! xxxx

Hey there,

Well to start off I would love to be your current weight and its not far from there I wanna get to! First off what sort of food do you like apart from the chocolate and other things you may like?

At the moment I am eating a lot of seafood stuff like Tuna Sandwhiches, Seafood Sticks, Prawns, Cockells etc and staying off the fizzy pop too water is the way forward.

If you like swimming I would say start with this and go 3-4 times a week giving yourself a few rest days. When i lost 3 stone I was swimming 120 lengths (A Mile) in an hour but doing slow lengths then fast lengths....if your going to do swimming I would definately start with so many lengths and build yourself up find out how many lengths is a mile in your pool etc.

Welcome and good luck on your weightloss! Unfortunately I haven't got any tips for low cal diet, though. :)

Learn how to calorie count, it's really simple.

1lb of fat is 3500 calories of energy, you need a deficit of 3500 calories to lose 1lb, spread over a week that's only a 500 calories deficit per day (3500/7=500). Google search for a calorie calculator, put in your details and calculate your daily maintenance, eat 500 cals less than that and you'll lose 1lb a week.

You can continue to eat chocolate and cheese providing you stay within your calorie limit, you can do as much or as little exercise as you like.
