want to lose 20 lbs but dont want to stunt growth

right now im 16 and weight 185-190 lbs. so roughly a 25.5 on a BMI chart, so mildly overweight. plus i have a large amount of muscle mass already and that could take some of the weight. but i still wanna lose weight
right now i live in minnesota so a little extra fat in the winter helps ya a little bit, lol. but the fat dont help out much in the catogories of sports and girls. so im planning on starting a diet to go along with my weightlifting and basketball camp that i excersize in. but the only problem is i over eat, i have a somewhat fast matabolism so i manage to keep around the same weight but i cant shed any pounds.

my plan is to shed off enough weight fast enough to allow my skin to tighten by spring next year. that gives me around 10 months. if it all goes well i'll actually be able to take my shirt off without embarrasement and maybe show off my sixpack and pecs (which i have already developed, just under the fat) to the girls ;).

so finally im gonna say what i need help with, i want a diet that isnt extrememly hard to keep on but effective, i can do something that takes a decent amount of will power, but i dont exactly want to count carbs, fat grams, calories, protien and see what im overindulging in. but i want to be able to give my body the nutreints in needs to promote muscle growth. any ideas????
