Soo, I haven't been here in awhile, thought I should stop in.
My weight is still around 112.5-114, depending on the day, and TOM. But I'm ok with that, I would like to lose a bit more, but for now I'm good with maintaining. That has always been my problem; keeping lost weight off. I fit into size 4 pants! I bought a bunch of new summer clothes, because I felt fat wearing my fat clothes, if that makes any sense. I was drowning in them.
Thanks for the advice! I cut back on my running, my shins/ankles can't handle it. I run twice a week and then gym it 2-3 times a week. The pain in my side was right under my ribs. I did a bunch of research, and I found out it was most likely because of my breathing. So now when I'm running, I exhale as if I am blowing out a candle. It may look funny, but I don't have any more pains in my side!
You are a much faster runner than me! ...But, just remember I have shorter legs
Thanks for the well wishes! My 5km race was on Sunday; my time was 34:37. I wasn't in last place. I am going to keep running, and hopefully that time will improve.
So, that's about it for now.

Watch out for shin splints! If you get them, do not run again for at least one full week. I could barely even walk for a full month last summer because of horrible shin splints. They were really bad and if I simply moved my foot up and down you could audibly hear my shins creaking. I decided I was just too heavy, which was correct, so I waited until I lost another 15 lbs before I attempted to actually jog again. I don't think you girls will have that problem but maybe keep it in the back of your mind.
Cuteone, where did you get your side stitch, your side or under your ribs? I get them under my ribs when I am not breathing right and it actually happend at the end of my first triathlon earlier this month. I am now focusing very hard on breathing correctly every time I jog. I love jogging though. I never thought I would but I actually enjoy it a lot now. I can run 5K in about 26 or 27 minutes on a good day. That is not very fast compared to real runners but for me that is the fastest I have ever been. Under 24 minutes would be great for me. That is my goal by this Fall.
Good luck and don't let plateaus discourage you! I hit several plateaus throughout my 1 year journey so far, including my current one that has lasted for 6 weeks! I guarantee you it is the eating. Either I am eating too many calories or just too many are coming from fat. I am going to try very hard over the next 6 weeks to consume a tad less, especially from fat.

Hello cuteone,
I hope you totally rock that 5 km Race!! Maybe once I borrow my dad's pedometer, I can know how far I travel on my run's. Maybe one day I could try a race too. I haven't given it a lot of thought though. I am pretty slow, I have the older as in (60+)'s pass me on the trail, and bigger ppl too. I only ever pass the walkers!!! LOL
Great work on your weight loss!!![]()
