Hi guys, I'm so so so excited.

I don't have time for photos (don't have 'befores' anyway) but I can see a visible difference in my body after just two weeks on the treadmill.

I spent almost 2 months on the bike at the gym, 30 minutes, not seeing anything different with my body at all. The minute I stood on the treadmill I could feel a difference in my muscles. It felt so good.

I have a lot of weight packed in my midsection (circumference measurements of 42-37-52 at the moment) but I can see a definite change in my upper stomach region. I really think the way I carry myself on the treadmill is starting to rebuild all my stomach muscles which have been largely unused in the last 10 years. My thighs are starting to tone up too.

My weight is remaining at 257.2 tho. I'm figuring I'm still rebuilding muscles. I still do resistance too so I could see why.

I can't wait to see what 2 more weeks will do :D

:hurray:

That is awesome :) But a quick question because I use a bike along with walking/jogging are you doing at least 21mph with resistance and making sure the watts stay at 75 or above on average? Because I see lots of people who don't use it hard enough to get results. They are awesome at fat burning if used at a good intensity.

I combine the two though biking for 30 and then walking/jogging for an hour and have seen super duper awesome results. And if you are not lifting/strength training you should totally get into it. It builds muscle which ends up burning more calories at rest since muscles take more calories to maintain. You also will for SURE see very quick changes when you start lifting it is pretty cool seeing defined muscles under the flab when you are doing it.

oh yeah I do resistance training. that usually takes about 30 minutes to do my 'rounds'.

my muscles were soooooo unused it's taking longer than usual i would say.

on the treadmill i vary between 5 and 15 (max) incline and usually at speed level 3. I can't run just yet since I'm so out of shape it gives me asthma to run.

I stay at 5-10 incline for a few minutes and then try to stay at 15 incline for as long as I can. my heart rate generally stays at an average of 145.

one of my goals is to get better at inclines, since I have a tendency to spike my heart rate and get an asthma attack if I climb too many sets of stairs without rest.

max incline is certainly easier than it was a week ago :)

Inclines on the treadmill is awesome. I do my walk/jog outside my path is all hills now I started on completely flat ground. You will get better and better at taking the inclines and then progress to jogging sooner then you think!!

I have asthma as well mine is (luckily) controlled with just 10mg of singulair a day. I have my rescue inhaler but have not had to use it in years *knocks on wood*. I know though as I have been plugging along burning bronchial pain flares are coming less and less I am going to cross my fingers for you that as you lose weight your asthma will get better as well!
