i hadn't thought about this before, but i'm wondering how off your ID can be before it's a problem. i'm 55 lbs less than my ID says now; about a 25% weight loss. my face does appear thinner and being measured (height) for the first time in ages, i'm an inch shorter than my ID, too. i just renewed last year (lol... 3 months before i started dropping weight), so it's good for another 4 years. ...spending half a day at DMV is likely the downside.

That's a good question, but I'm sure it's not a huge issue unless you look extremely different? People get haircuts, colour their hair, grow or shave off facial hair, wear makeup, etc. All of which can make them look very different, but I've never heard of someone needing to redo their ID photos because of it. Are there any FAQ's on the DMV website?

i really never thought about it, but you're right in that i know women who are constantly changing their hair color and style and at times more than likely barely look like their ID photo. just thinking about me personally... up until now i've looked basically the same for years.
