Hi everyone. I have been eating this chocolate that I thought was only 100 calories these past few days. Turns out it’s actually 500 calories. That means not only today but for about three days in the past week I have eaten far more calories than allowed. I feel like I should avoid these kinds of unhealthy food altogether. I can’t help but feel a little bit down. Thanks for reading.

Whenever we have a setback, the best idea is to learn from it & move on. It doesn't hurt to have a few days off sweet treats & then allow yourself a treat once or twice a week. Doing that makes them special rather than an everyday thing.

I'd be super bummed about that as well but on the other hand: glad you found out now instead of continuing to have it and being frustrated about the scales not cooperating despite your efforts.

Thanks I think I know that logically but it was emotionally hard to deal with. Thanks for your kind words.

I suppose that is the silver lining. Thanks for the reply.

Sometimes if I need a chocolate 'pick me up" I have 2-4 hershey kisses, they are only 25 calories each!

When I first started my diet, I goofed big time on the serving size of trailmix. I had assumed it was something like 1/4 cup, but it was really something ridiculous like 1 tbsp so I'd had 4x as many calories as I expected...

we have all messed up with serving sizes at some point, learn from it and move on, mistakes happen.

I am actually considering investing in a kitchen scale to avoid more mishaps. Hehe..
