Unexpected progress!!

I posted a ridiculous diet plan on here in August. Well. I didn't even attempt it, or any diet for that matter. And hit peak weight before the new years (246, but quite of that went rapidly because of water weight and all the salts, etc).

Well, I started eating right a little while ago and well, not exercising all that much (I go for a walk when I can, just little things like that), and I decided to step on the scale just a few minutes ago in the middle of moving furniture to my new bedroom, and HOOZAH! I weighed 219.8. Which is a BMI of 29.8 (.2 below obesity!!!) for my height of 6 feet. I weighed myself multiple times in disbelief, and I kept getting the same result, give or take .5!

So, I plan to continue doing what I've been doing (1500-2k cals a day, low fat foods, like fruits, veggies, and lean meats), and step up the exercise just a tad bit to see what happens!

So in less than one month you lost nearly 27 pounds from just eating a little healthier? That is rare and almost a little concerning. I'm happy for you, I just hope nothing bad is going on. If the rapid weight loss continues, you might want to go see a doctor. I could be wrong though.

Good job on your progress so far. Some people will find that if they change their diet and exercise they will make fast gains in the first month. That seems to be what you did.

However, Derrick is right. If your rapid weight loss does not slow, then their could be something wrong. A person should lose no more than 1-2 pounds a week. If this does not seem like a lot, then get yourself 2 pounds of animal fat and see how much that really is.

If you are losing too much weight too quickly, then it could mean that you are losing muscle with that fat and that is not what you want. You could be starving yourself. However, if you are eating 1500-2000 calories a day, then that should not be the case.

I believe you are on the right track. Keep us posted with your progress.
