Alrighty, so I am no newbie to trying to loose weight, however, I am new here. So Im trying to do it the right way, no more crash diets, etc. I will write more in the "Diary" section I suppose but a quick intro to myself:

There hasnt been a time since the day I started Kindergarden that I did not think I was fat and could afford to loose weight. Ive always lacked the motivation to stick with a plan but Ive tried several times. I know my perception of myself was false sometimes (I look back at pics when I was 14 and living on 500 cals/day and see that I was not at all overweight, not incredibly thin but average). However, since then (aka. since starting college) ive become extremely lazy and now have the opposite problem and think I look better than I do haha. Anyways at 195 and being 5'3, its time for a healthy change. Im looking to live better in general, I am happy with my life but as my time at college comes to an end (graduating this spring!) I've decided to make some changes in general (loose weight, become a little more organized, keep my room clean, start cooking more (eating out less), drink less (almost impossible where I live but Im trying), be a better me in general).

Ok so as far as goals, my BMI labels me "obese" (gag) so first goal is to get it in the high "normals". For now, here im looking for pals to encourage and be encouraged by so drop a line

Welcome to WLF! :) I hope you know that back when you were 14, that calorie amount was way way too low. I've read that women shouldn't consume less than 1200 calories per day. Anyway, I'm glad you've decided to make a healthier change in your life... I wish you the best of luck on this journey!

Yes i do know that now... but when your 14 and trying to loose weight I guess I didnt know better. This time I definitly want to do it a healthier, more long term way... Thanks (and looks like we've got the same goal in mind! best of luck to you too)

^ At 14 you wouldn't have known as much about dieting as you do now so you're more educated!

We're the opposite. I start losing it when I went to college, and gained at home lol :D

We should be weight loss buddys! Better with company and support than without :D

Good luck with your journey hun! xx

At 14, I didn't know any better either. But I just wanted to make sure you were going about it healthier this time around, ya know? :) Best of luck! And thanks ;)
