ultra fit program

I have a membership at World's but never heard of that program.

keep in mind that even franchise gyms like Gold's or World Gym still usually have outsourced personal trainers with their own 'programs'. Some are good, some are crap.

The Ultra Fit program is the fastest and safest way to reduce body fat and build lean shapely muscle simultaneously. It was designed by 9 Time Trainer of the Year, John DeFendis. Its no where near crap.

Meeshell, two things:
1. I didn't say Ultra Fit was crap...I said I never heard of it, that it was probably a particular trainer's "program", and it could be good, or bad.

2. lose the chip on your shoulder about me removing your other thread. The only thing 'attitude' will get you here is a permanent banning.

Now, tell us more about the Ultra Fit program...because I am just DYING to hear about a program that burns fat AND adds muscle mass at the same time in anyone but a noob trainee.

i didnt say you said it was crap...i was saying its far from crap...youre putting words in my mouth

:p about the noob comment

i dont have a chip i just wanted an explanation why...im waiting to hear your response

1) you DO have an attitude and it's a major turn off from wanting to help.

2) i dont think you read his post properly

im sorry but i dont...he said some where good and some were crap...i was pointing out this program isnt crap...it seems as though you and him would like for me to have an attitude...please dont tell me this is another drama filled board...all i wanted was an explanation to a different matter, which im still waiting on, which is being discussed in pm...no reason the bring it out here...like anyone wants to read it

Ok, I apologize for putting words in your mouth. I now understand what you meant.

I still want a rundown of the Ultra Fit program, since its a miracle if it adds lean mass while shedding fat simultaneously.

1, You cant shape a muscle you can only make it bigger or smaller. The shape of your muscle is purely genetic. The only possible way you could change the shape slightly is to have the knots massaged out.

2, The fastest and safest way to reduce body fat and build lean muscle will always be to build muscle 1st, then loose the fat later. Doing it at the same time will only slow you down in both areas

3, The only programs worth paying for are those which are designed specifically for you. Anything which is directed at more than one person will never be as good.

shaping a muslce in my opinion would be increasing the definition

ive been on this program for 3 weeks and have lost 10lbs and can definitely see the change in the definition/shape of my muscles...they are much more defined

you dont have to pay for the program..my trainer gave it to me...most of the trainers at this gym have been in and won shows

theres 2 ways to do the program....reduce body fat which im doing or the body building one which is 3 or 4 times what i eat

ive tried several programs and diets...beside low carb which i know isnt healthy, this has worked more for me than any other eating plan

You can only increase definition by reducing you body fat %.

You still have not posted the program, so we can tell you if it really is any good.

So far you have told us about the "great" program but havn't given us any info to back up your argument.

lol...so now im arguing?

i asked if anyone has heard of it and posted my opinion

it will take me awhile to type it up...so give me awhile and then you can make youre own opinion...all i know its worked for my bf and i and about 25 other pple ive talked to about it with at the gym

You cannot 'shape' a muscle either. the shape of every muscle in your body is determined by genetics...assuming you don't have surgery or something that cuts muscle tissue such that it heals back in a different way.

you can either increase the size of the muscle, or decrease it. muscles don't increase in size proportionally either...so as you grow your biceps, the peak of that muscle should get proportionally taller than the ends of the muscle near the elbow and shoulder.

getting definition in muscles is nothing more than shedding bodyfat, so the muscle shows through your skin better. getting definition through fat loss = "toning"

Whats wrong with a small ammount of sugar? espesh if your just going in the gym.

Whats wrong with prime cut fillet or sirloin steak with the fat trimmed off?

No dairy at all? your kidding me?

What about the rest of the program?

So far I'm not impressed, seems like they are just saying no to anything bad, When in fact things like cheese and sugar are only bad for you if you eat them in excess.

Things on this diet I just cannot agree with:

No:
dairy products
cheese
pork
beef (except london broil - 2x per week)
oil
diet dressings
fruit juices
limit fruits (only eat cantaloupe, strawberries, blueberries)
avocadoes
celery
limit tomatoes
peas or corn
carrots
yogurt
canned veggies

Bolded ones are ones which I STRONGLY disagree with - why no avocado? There are few things that replicate it's nutritional benifits in moderate quantities. Fruit? Celery? Are you aware that pork loin is one of the leanest cuts of meats available?

What's wrong with celery and peas?
