I want to change my life.

It looks like I will have the opportunity to take some time away from the work place and still be viable financially. Therefore I want to take this time to go the gym and lose some weight and confirm some of my actual knowledge in paper qualifications.

I really need to loose close to 100lbs and I would like to obtain recommendations for the most effective exercises to lose weight fast without losing muscle mass and also the recommended amount of time I should spend on each type of exercises and per day.

The % share of time between cardio, core and weights etc

The types of exericise I should be doing.

Thanks for your assistance in advance.

Regards

Cardio takes off weight, weights&core build muscles.
I would start of doing cardio, after the loss of 20-35 pounds I would start doing weights and core to start building the muscle underneath the fat. When you've lost 100 pounds the muscle should definitely show through.

There is absolutely no reason(excepting something medical) to wait to start strength training. It will help maintain the muscle you have and in no way impede fat loss, it will help. There are good stickies to read in the weight loss through exercise section.

Good luck.

Thanks

So far through Diet and Cardio thus far I have lost 28Lbs.

So I am hoping that with increased time and training I can get to where I want to be closer.

I agree. Strength training was part of my routine from day 1.
