...with the ultimate goal of eating better and feeling better, and living longer. I have a great new husband, a great kid, I want to be around awhile. I love hiking, and I don't want to be worn out from being out of shape. I quit smoking in 2003 (and thus gained 30 lbs) and quit drinking in 2004. This is the next step to a healthier me.
I also am not quite ready for a one-piece yet... I want to wear a bikini again.
It's not so much the pounds I want off, it's the untoned flab. I'm 5'6, started at 146 with a goal of 125 by June 30. I am 38. My weight sits in the middle (the unhealthiest.) A little on the hips. I lost a centimeter on the waist so far.
So last week I cut back my calories to between 1500-2000 per day (average around 1700) and slowly getting back on a cardio routine - stationary bike (with the upper body bars) in the a.m. daily except sunday (went hiking) and doing some toning exercizes. I lost three pounds so far. I feel really good.
So that's me.
