Hello,
I am new to this online chat thing so please forgive me if I don't know right away what I am doing.
I decided yesterday that I needed a lifestyle change. So I search for a place that I could chat and get support from others and came accross this site. I am very glad I did! In reading some of the postings I feel this is the right place for me.
I have started this process many times and have had good results but always give up before the finish line. I am 5'6 and weigh 180 I would love to lose 25 to 30
lbs. I can say I want to be a size 10 again (the smallest I ever have been) but I don't know if that is possible. I guess I need to stay possitve but I am a realist.
My problem has alot to do with I want to be like my friends and eat all the things that they eat. I hate being the one to say well I can't have that I will just bring something I can eat. It is not that they don't support me but they make it hard to do the right thing. It all boils down to temptation I guess.
I also have not been in a real weight loss program. I have a few books and have read about different plans. I have pretty much combined all that I have read and tried to exercise more. I would love to hear what others do or what guidelines are used.
I also know that exercise is the key. I enjoy walking but I live in Maine and it is snowing her right now. So it is hard to exercise outside in the winter. I am in the process of getting a membership to a gym. I am hoping that with the right suppport system I will be able to win this battle.
I am still young @ 35 I have many years ahead of me I should atleast make them healthy ones.
