Trying to lose belly fat, need tips on diet.

So I'm 15, I'm about 5' 7" and I weight about 155. I'm not fat, but I do have a bit of belly and chest fat that I'd like to get rid of by summer. To get an idea of how much fat it doesn't hang over my belt when I stand, but muffin tops when I sit down. Anyways, I'm enrolled in a gym, and I've been doing my best to eat better (for example, I stopped buying pizza at lunch every day). I've also been trying to eat more eggs, oatmeal, and fruits. I also sometimes have a cup of milk with a scoop of protein powder and a banana mixed in as a snack. But honestly, I just feel like completely cutting out all junk food isn't really an option. I feel like I need some sort of rule to stick by. I also don't think it will take much to slim down, as most of the people in my family tend to be skinnier (not really sure if that has an effect), and I assume I have a higher metabolism since I'm younger. But like I said, if anyone could give me some sort of rule to stick by as far as eating junk food goes, that would be great.

I'm a wreckless consumer of junk food. I'd rather not be, but it's an unfortunate side-effect of spending time with friends. You can certainly fit McDonald's and the like into a fat-loss diet, even though it would be better not to eat fast food. One thing is knowing when to stop eating any more. For me, an average fast food meal is about 1,000-1,500kcal. Not exactly ideal for losing weight. I try to mitigate harm by choosing burgers that have a relatively high amount of protein in them and various items that resemble vegetables, going for the smallest serving of chips, and a diet soft drink option (at KFC I drink Pepsi Max, at Hungry Jack's I mix my coke at about 80% diet and 20% regular). If I go somewhere like Subway, I just order lots of salads and don't get any of the extras (cookies, drinks etc). As for stuff like chips, lollies, chocolate and ice cream around the house, I just try to avoid them, because I know that 1 will lead to 2 will lead to 3 will lead to 20.

One recommendation I like to give is to have 9/10 of your meals be the right stuff for your goals, and allow 1/10 to be whatever.

If you really want to lose your weight than there are some fast foods you need to avoid at any cost. Read the name of those fast foods you should not eat.

• Grilled chicken
• Tuna and chicken salad sandwiches
• Fountain drinks with ice
• The salad bar
• Doughnuts
• Burger patties and other grilled meats
• Premixed shakes

Those are really responsible for overweight. I recommend you should avoid junk food as possible as you can if you really want to cut the extra fat of your body.
