where to start? 1st my stats, well im 24, 5ft 3.5 and weight 178.8lbs which is the biggest I have ever been, I feel very unhappy at this weight and feel extremely uncomfortable in my own skin. I am the definition of yo-yo dieter and in my adult years have been as low as 130lbs many times but always end up putting the weight back on.

2nd, goals and what I plan on doing to reach them. well I ideal would like to be weight somewhere between 115-120lbs, I have been at 130lb and while i felt alot happier at that weight than i do now my body was not as thin as i would have liked it to have been.

To reach my goal I will obviously have to eat less and move more, this as I expect most people on this sight know is easier said then done. I am student and when i am studying always end up snacking on all the bad stuff. I also work part time in a pub/restaurant type place which mostly sell's desert/cakes to tourist, the deserts are made fresh daily and there are always amazing deserts left over which we can take home, lets just say I have worked there just over 6 months and when I stated i was around 150lbs. From today the desert stealing and the student munching stops. I also find it easier to lose weight when I keep busy so im going to have to work on that.

When it comes to exercise I have 2 dogs which i walk daily, to increase my exercise level i thinking about jogging with them instead of walk that should help me increase my weight loss as well as increase my fitness.

I start back at uni on the 22nd of feb and do not want to still be at 178.8lbs, what do you guys think would be a relistic weight for me to reach by then?

Welcome to the forum!! It sucks weight loss isn't really as easy as it sounds... though if it was, I guess everyone would be doing it! Good luck with your goals, looks like you're already off to a great start!

Hey Chubfree,

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on making a decision to take control of your life! This is a great forum and lots of motivating people on here! The good news is, you are starting much earlier in your life than I did (I'm 51) and my goal is to lose 120 pounds (I started at 269, now I'm around 207, so I've got another 57 to go...so I just passed over the 1/2 mark...and I can tell you it's hard...sucks, takes time...all of the above. I can also tell you it's so worth it! So keep up the good work and feel free to put your real feelings here on this site...that's the power of this site...you can say things here and people really understand...and you don't have to feel embarrassed about your thoughts!

Keep at it and I look forward to your future posts!
