Trying to get back in to the Game

Hi my name is Jack and I am a relatively fit guy. I love to run, especially in my Vibram Fivefingers (Hence the name BarefootJack). I've only been running for about 3 months now and I have already completed a half marathon in 1:49:02 which I think is pretty darn awesome. Due to my running I have slimmed down quite a bit and that's not the way I want to go. I want to tone and build a nice body for me. I want to be healthy and look good doing it but I need some direction. I remember the feeling of finishing the football workout from high school and I want to feel it again but I can't remember it. It was a 4 day workout designed to sculpt the average teenager in to a turf ravaging monster! I don't know where to start and I am pretty stuck on the old workout so I need some ideas for a 4 day monster sculpting workout. I am down for anything so hit me with whatever you've got!

ah I know where your coming from, I'm also starting out in my journey!

I like the feeling of pushing myself really hard.

Makes me feel like i deserve to rest and sleep that night haha.

Im made a blog to document my journey and so far its keeping me honest and motivated, maybe you could do the same. As for what workout to do, I cant tell you whats best because Im also just starting out but I wanted to show some support.

Goodluck mate!

If you're trying to get a ripped body, don't solely go for cardio like a marathon runner, you should divert a good chunk of that energy into strength training for the large muscle groups such as legs, abs, and back. With this methodology I can get around 1.5 min hanging 90 degrees on my abs (don't know the exercise name), my upper back can displace 250 lbs rowing (can't test how much more since my arms suck so they give out first), my lower back can displace 300 lbs piece of cake, have an over 500 lb calf press and my personal record for keeping anything suspended at a 45 degree leg press is 1225 lbs (shooting for 1300 sometime). This is not yo brag, but if you're already that thin, you should be able to bring something out if you work for maybe a month regularly. Is there any part of your body that you want to emphasize? I'm 5'9" 185 lbs, M, 19 if you want a comparison.
