Trying to get a little more muscle

Im 16 years old and 138 lb.
im trying to build a little more bulk and upper body muscle. I checked my weight at the beginning of the summer it was 145. now i checked this morning its down to 138. i was told when building muscle, it increases weight. In the summer i lifted every other day with a friend at the same pace, and recently i just go on sundays. I can see some bicep improvement, and tricep improvement and my lifting weight also increases. But i do not understand the loss in weight. Is there something im doing wrong?

my daily food intake
morning: bowl of cereal
afternoon: anything leftover from the previous night usually one plate ex: today i had rice and kidney beans, and then i had some fruits later on in the day, milk
nighttime: rice and beans and milk
that was today, its usually something like this
i had half of a protein bar too, the Met-RX or something too

Nope, you need way more calories and nutrients to 1.) build muscle and 2.) maintain it.

What kind of workout are you doing?

my bad that was just yesterdays food, thers this indian thing and i cant eat meat for a week
but like i eat chicken and stuff like that everyday other than tuesdays and stuff

but ya, i do 3 reps benching 10 8 6
and then i do bicep curls(or something i donno what its called) 10 8 6
and then tricep pushdowns 10 8 6
and then the back pull down things 10 8 6
and chest push things, like vertical benching kinda 10 8 6
and then the bicep machines that curl or something 10 8 6

it sounds like you need way more calories and way more protein! your body will not build muscle if it doesn't have those two things no matter how hard you lift. you also should eat more frequently.

WHAT you eat is just as important as HOW MUCH you eat. A good body is made just as much in the kitchen as it is in the gym. Spend some time reading around teh forum. It's a very good time investment.

should i start drinking milk like 2-3 times a day, and like eat whatever just more amounts?

To put on muscle mass, your body needs a calorie surplus above and beyond your maintainence level (start with 20%). Take that calorie requirement and split it up into 6 meals a day, eating them every 2.5-3 hours. Eat lots of lean protein, good fats, good carbs and fiborous veggies.

There are many great posts on this very subject talking about more specific foods and macro breakdowns for bulking. Use the search button, and read around a bit.

If I am not mistaken, there is a bulking sticky on the top of one of the threads in the male forum. Read through everything, lay out a plan then post here and people will help you tweak it.

can i do something physical that can increase my height, i dont want to use those fake supplements.

and about the bulking up thing, shall i keep a daily diary of what i eat in the journal section while updating everyday or something to tell what im doing and have people tell me what to change and if so should i just put down the food name, bcause not all the food i eat has the calorie thing and most of the stuff my mom cooks i dont pay attention or w.e

Yes, I recommend keeping a journal somewhere to keep track of your training progress and diet. You can use Fitday to keep track of your diet, or you can use a jornal on this site.

um sorry for the double post, but does weight lifting stunt growth too?
