trouble with weight loss

Hi. I found this site looking for help with reasons as to why I am not losing weight! I have been in an active excersize program for at least 6 months. Usually 4 days a week of 30-40 min of cardio a day. I am not losing weight!! I have changed my diet, and eat more fruits, veggies, and natural foods. What is wrong with me? My thyroid is normal and so is most of my other labs. Any help out there? I feel like I am working my butt off, but it's not getting me where I want to be. I have struggled with weight loss my whole life and I am obese. I am trying to change my life for the better and its not helping! Any advice would be greatlly appreciated!:confuse:confused:d:

The harsh truth?

You are eating more calories than you are burning. You said you eat healthy and fruits and veggies but that doesn't mean you are eating smart for weight loss. You can have a healthy diet and still eat too many calories. We tend to underestimate our calorie intake. I'm guessing that is what is happening here.

Try recording everything you eat for a week and take a look back.

Jericho is correct. Try recording everything you eat for a week and have a look.
Exercise is good but say you burn 400 calories in a 40 min workout (based on a higher intensity workout) you are only burning an extra 1600 calories a week which is half a pound gone. Some people tend to eat more when they are exercising so you may think you are burning lots and can afford an extra bite here and there when in reality you need to cut back on your calories too.
The only way to be sure is to keep an accurate log of everything for a week (calories in vs calories out) and see where the mistakes are being made.
