Tricking your body

So i know that you want to keep your body guessing in terms of avoiding plateaus and continueing weight loss, but in all of your opinions, would it be guessing with food choices only or calorie amounts or breakdown of fat/carb/protein - probably all the above - BUT, how often should you 'change it up'. Recommend a week of one plan, then change to another, then another??

Trying to get an idea how everyone is having so much success...
thanks.

Well, all I can give for input here is what my trainer told me last week. She advised changing up my physical routine with weights and cardio every couple of weeks. Every two weeks she advised that I make sure my cardio is in my target heart range.

I would guess every four weeks you should revise what you do for cardio and weight/strength training. Because your body becomes very accustomed to these routines and doing the same motions over and over again. But anyhow...that is just what she told me. I would guess this is for effective weight loss and to see changes in your body. Versus, maintaining..

Hope that helped a little! :) Oh and when things seem "easy" it can be a sign that something is amiss, because it indicates you aren't challenin yourself anymore. Like in the beginning most of us feel sore after our work outs or the next morning etc. When things get easy, your body realizes it, and is used to the motions, weight levels, etc. :)
