I am lookin at a treadmill purchase for the wife and myself. Looking at Sears here in Canada and they have some good buys in their Free Spirit line. A regular $1900 machine on sale for $1000. It has a 2.5hp motor and 350# capacity which is important as my wife is about 300. I looked at some of the more expensive Nordictracks but they have the same or smaller motor and less capacity. This model is also folding and has a cushioned belt. Is the cushioned belt an important feature as my wife has heard alot about treadmills being hard on the knees. I can't see this as all we will be doing is walking or power walking. Any input is appreciated.
