Transitions

Alright, so I am finally down almost 40 pounds on my weight loss since august 4th when I started. I am very happy where I am at, and only several pounds shy of the goal. I have been exercising very well in the last few weeks, and still eating phase 1 of the South Beach diet.

I have learned many new recipes, blah blah blah...

Here is my question:

Up until now, whenever I travel for work, whenever I go to friends houses I have been taking the food with me, because I am in weight-loss mode. Now, when I switch to maintenance for the rest of the time, I am curious if anyone can share how they specifically transitioned from weight-loss eating, on any type of restrictive diet, to eating back in the real world. I am good at staying within the confines of my diet when I am out (for example, ordering a "phase-1" meal at Cheescake factory, etc)... but have a real problem with portion control when eating uber-delicious food like savory/ fatty dishes at restuarants.

So, I am soliciting any stories from anyone that has transitioned, and kept off the weight, so I can see what will work best for me.

THanks!!! :sifone::sifone::sifone::sifone:
