Currently im doing around 45-60mins of cardio 6 times a week atleast, running at 6.5-7mph for 30 of those minutes and the rest on exercise bikes.

I have been doing this for about 3-4 weeks now.

Is this too little or too much? What else should i do?

Im 18 btw, and want to lose fat, and tone my upper body. I have 4 months to do so

Thanks

That seems like a reasonable amount of exercise for weight loss and for health. However, it sounds like you're setting yourself up for burnout or injury because you don't have enough variety or weight training.

You should probably get a personal trainer at this point. It'd be a good investment and they'll help you set goals and give new ideas for working out.

I also highly recommend using a rowing machine. You'll develop great arms.

I recommend doing less cardio and more weight training. This will help you burn fat instead of lean tissue. Instead of 6 days cardio, what about 3 days cardio, 3 days weight lifting - each day doing a different muscle group.

Also, it is good to have lots of variety in your workout so that you body doesn't have time to adjust and get comfy :)

That is NOT too little. That is a great amount of exercise.
I am SO lazy, I have only exercised like occasionally since I started my diet two months ago, and I've lost 10 pounds.
But I don't think it's going to get much lower as fast as I want it to be unless I start exercising....
