Hello to everyone,
I'm very new to the gym world, and frankly, I'm quite unfit. I have huge problems in stamina, and can't run a significant distance ( anything over a few hundred metres ) without wanting to fall over and die - my asthma doesn't help this.
I was wondering if you could help me establish a gym program that can set me back on my feet. I play lacrosse for my university, and I'd like to bulk up for that, especially my shoulder and chest area. I'd also like to tone my stomach area, where I'm sure I have great abs hidden somewhere under that layer of fat
Toning my legs and behind would also be quite important, although not as much as the rest.
Otherwise, I'm going to try to go swimming about twice a week, hopefully swimming a kilometre during the session ( 40 laps, 20 on an Olympic pool ).
I'm pretty small - I weigh 67 kg / 148 lb for a height of about 170 cm / 5 ft 7 in, giving me a BMI of 23.2 - I'm not sure how important you find this. I'm 19 years old.
Apologies if this is in the wrong section, I wasn't quite sure where to post it, and there seem to be vaguely similar threads here.
As I said, I'm very new to the gym, and have no idea what I should be doing. I have full access to a good gym, and have found a particular affinity for the rowing machine - but I'm asking your opinion of what I should be doing !
Thanks very much for your help,
Quentin
