Tobacco and dieting

I smoke very rarely; a pipe about two times a week, and a cigar maybe once a month. Never cigarettes and never inhale (really). I know that it's far from good for me, but how will this affect my diet? I usually don't feel hungry when I do have a smoke.

The reason I do smoke is stupid, but I'll admit that. When I do it's a social thing. I can opt out, but I'd rather not.

Nicotine is an appetite suppressant... So unless you're eating the smokie things... it's not going to have an effect or you're smoking home grown smokie things that have been known to cause munchies

However...
Whether you inhale intentionally or not -you are still inhaling the smoke that is coming out of your smokie thing... and cigars have just as much of a cancer risk as cigarettes do..

You won't gain weight. Nicotine suppresses the appetite and increases blood pressure slightly (increasing metabolism). Either way, the effect is too small to make any difference in either direction. People who quit smoking sometimes gain weight because they substitute the smoking with eating.

As unhealthy as smoking can be, one of the missions behind eating properly (healthy foods, 5-6 times per day) is to keep your metabolism stoked up so that you are constantly burning calories.

I would say that - health risks of smoking notwithstanding - you don't allow smoking to modify the way you eat at all. Don't blow the metabolism boosting effects of eating properly in addition to allowing the health risks of smoking.
