To Toss or Not To Toss? That is the Question

My closet has these 2 HUGE storage boxes full of clothes (too small, average of 4 sizes too small) that I have refused to get rid of. Now, I'm not EVEN thinking about giving up on my weight loss..in fact, I lost 4 pds this week!!! YAY!! But I'm thinking all that space could be used better. So now I'm wondering if I should give it all away and then buy more clothes as I loose???? Or, would I be better off just holding onto them???

I can't decide so I need your opinions, lol!

anything that's too big - get rid of right now - or pass on to someone who is that size...

anything that's a size too small -keep in your line of sight and use as a motivator.

Anything that's too too small and you probably won't get back into anytime soon - get rid of... Tim Gunn's book says you shouldn't hold onto the too smalls, because you might or might not get back into them -but if you do get there again - then don't you deserve something new rather than something that's probably not in style anymore?

There are a few exceptions to this... any "Right Said Fred" T-shirts, or other such timeless pieces.

Ditto. I'd keep a couple of things you really like to use as incentive to keep trying on as you shrink, but I'd ditch the rest.

I lways keep all the smaller sizers for great motivation but anything out dated out of style and of course TOO BIG I would donate to a free clothing store.I put all my stuff on FREECYCLE.COM I usually list what I have say they will be on the porch in a bag and someone will respond and pick them up the next day.GL AND CONGRATS ON 4 LBS

wow, thats an interesting idea tammy, never heard of it.

Yea, i think i'll hold onto just a few nice things and get rid of the rest.

your right too Mal, once i loose this weight I won't want to wear old clothes anyways! lol

thanks e1!!
