Tired of the same me

Hello all. My name is Brad. I'm 25, and have been "chunky" for the better part of my life. I am 5'8 and 264lbs. I wear waist size 42-44 and I am so tired of it. I would love to be back down to a 36" waist before October. I am marrying the love of my life on Halloween, and I want to be as slim as possible. I do not desire to be a twig...ever, but I would love to be a healthy 190-200lbs. I know that may not be healthy to many, but thats where I am most comfortable! I will be lurking for a while! Thanks! Yeah, the venues that we wanted to look at getting married at were all taken except for Halloween! So, we decided "what the heck" and said we will just have fun with it!

No, Wedding isn't themed...Thank god. No costumes or any of that sort! I haven't really started any exercise or anything, just been doing portion control. Today is day 1, 263.6lbs. I have eaten half of what I would have normally. I feel hungry, but I think it is my brain just wanting me to not be bored....
 
welcome to the forum! there's lots of useful info in the stickies and lots of encouraging people. i think the important part is to make weight loss a life goal so that if you start eating healthy and exercising now, then by the time your wedding comes around you'll have lost x pounds, but will still be continuing on your health journey. i think what usually happens (at least in my case) is that every time i've set a certain date to have lost a certain amount of weight by, the opposite usually happens, i end up gaining even more! But the most important step is that you've started on the journey....all the best :waving:
