HI

My name is Vanessa, Ness, V- From the great state of Texas. I always was in good healthy weight but when I had my daughter who is 2 now that problems really hit hard. My self esteem has gone down the drain!

I gained 95 lbs and went from 135 to 224. Weight came off but somehow I"ve let my weight get out of control after I had her. I got down to 189 and then starting to climb up.

I'm 24 years old and weigh 218!!!!

Instead of loosing I'm gaining.

So starting today I got up at 5 AM and went and worked out (I walked for 45 minutes doing hills on the treadmill) and I am eating heathily with NO MORE soda, fast food, or junk food!!! I will work out in the mornings and walk walk in the afternoon. I weighed myself this morning and I weigh 218 lbs I would really love to be between 130-135 which is what I was before I got pregnant with my daughter.

I'm hoping to find suport and encourangment here and make friendships that struggle with same problems as I do.

Thank you if you have read this far :)

your going to do great

I Am at 188, and this is my heaviest. Your going to do great and Good luck on your weight lost journey.

Let's do this together! I'm 32, had my daughter just before I turned 20 and I weigh more now than I did the day I gave birth!!
I was always around 130-135 lbs, and was between a 3 & 5. I worked out 5x a week in high school and since my favorite machine was the leg press, I had huge muscular thighs and a small waist.
I gained 36 lbs during pregnancy and never lost it. Over the years I've yo-yo'd between 170 and 180, but a couple years ago I hit my highest - 202.
I was hospitalized for a few days with a massive ear infection. Being sick jumpstarted some weight loss, and bad breakup a few months later helped even more. I got down to about 164 last summer. But then I got comfortable in a new relationship and started to put it back on.
I just jumped on the scale and found out that I'm back up to 196!!
I just can't take it anymore. I'm tired of being like this. I get winded going up the stairs to my bosses office, and even upstairs to my apartment!! My hips are giving me problems, my back aches and my knees are terrible. I know I'm going to need both knee and hip surgery in the next couple years (massive deterioration in the hip - probs since birth, had surgery when I was 3 months old!) so I know they're going to tell me that I need to bring my weight down first. Figure I'd get a jump start on it so maybe I can put it off a few more years until my 12 year old is at least driving and able to get herself to and from school & dance practice!
Anyway, sorry for the long winded post. I just saw that we seem to have close goals (kicking that baby fat to the curb!) and I needed to introduce myself anyway. Didn't mean to hijack your post!
