Eat for survival not emotions! Identify the emotional triggers that cause you to seek unhealthy food comfort. Picture your goal weight the next time a trigger strikes to help you resist temptation!

I agree with eating for survival only. Of course I don't think that already skinny people think this way. They seem to eat whatever they like, and it works for them. It seems unfair that they can get away with it and I can't. When I reach my goal weight, at least I can know that I earned it, unlike some people who seem to just eat whatever they please. On the other hand, they might have to change their lifestyles as they age and their bodies require better treatment to remain healthy.

Try not to compare yourself with anybody else. You're right....Who knows how healthy those "skinny" people really are. Are they eating lean protein, good carbs, fruits and vegetables? Or are they eating fried, greasy, fattening foods? If so, they may appear to look healthy, but inside they may be a heart attack waiting to happen.

Eating right is going to be a major challenge and hard work. If you want changes bad enough you'll do it! Focus on your goals and resist temptations. Take it one pound at a time. Include exercise at least 3 days a week and watch the weight fall off!
