Hey all,
I have an article that struck me as interesting to share with you all. Perhaps many of you have seen or heard of this type of training before, I know I’ve seen bits and pieces along the way but I never paid much attention to it.
The gains suggested appear to be almost laughable, and the only proper study cited is from the 1970’s and makes no mention of whether the candidates were using any chemical growth enhancers. Nonetheless, I don’t think Timothy Ferris was taking any illegal supplements, so why is he claiming such unbelievable gains?
I’m just interested to see what you guys have to say about it, as it almost has me convinced to give it a whirl in the name of science. When i changed from 10reps to doing low rep high intensity at 4-6 reps, it has enabled me to push through some old barriers. However, I have no interest in changing my routine until I’ve first done some investigation to see if it warrants a go. I’ve never met anyone who does 1 rep to failure sets as a workout.
