Time to set a goal.

I'm going to take everyone's advice and take baby steps. So here is my goal for the rest of this week..

3 bottles of water per day
No snacking at work
No chips (my weakness)

I work at Uno's Chicago Grill.. i love the restaurant's food. But its SO BAD FOR YOU.

I've already had 2 water bottles (16.9 oz each)
I have to be to work in about 3 hours... plenty of time to have another. Plus, we are aloud free fountain drinks when we work...i'll only drink water from the machine... not including that to my 3 water bottles per day.

Next week i'll have more exercise equipment (getting the ab chair) so i'll be able to incorporate exercise. :)

Hi, and welcome! If you can avoid snacking and control your calorie intake, there's no reason why you couldn't eat a meal at the restaurant once a week. I have a junk food night on Fridays, and I eat chips and fried food.

It's a real pleasure, but I only allow it if I have been good during the week. I find myself looking forward to it during the week. That's how fast food and other high fat foods should be seen - an occasional luxury rather than the way to eat all the time.

The funny thing is, the longer I go with eating properly, the less I really want that food. I eat a couple of pieces of fried chicken and think `that's enough' rather than gobbling lots.

Good luck with it! You can start incorporating exercise straight away without equipment, just go for a walk! Anything that gets you moving is good :)
