Time and Pressure.

I've told myself many times throughout the years that I was going to change. As soon as I hit 250, 275, 300. Now, at 310 I am really fed up with who I've become. I am here to take back my life and gain the control I once had.

Something that stuck with me is the saying, "It's better than what you were doing." I want to take this in that direction. I know that things aren't going to change overnight. It's going to be a lifelong process. As long as I am doing something better tomorrow than I'm doing today. That's all that matters.

I'll probably just be weighing myself once a week. I don't want the scale to be my motivation. I want to feel healthier first. The weight loss is just a bonus. Some stuff I plan on doing to help:

Cut portions down
Cut out soda
No food from any place that has a drive through
Try and cut out most red meat
Raw veggies and fruit with every meal

As far as exercise goes, other than daily activities I've been walking about 1-2 miles a day as well as lifting weights for about 20 minutes. Trying to build up my stamina so I can do more. All in due time.

Rather than one large goal, I want to set weekly and monthly goals to keep up my motivation and keep the pressure on myself.

Here goes nothin'.

Good luck!I'll be rooting for ya!

Also, water, water, water! Don't forget the water haha.

Doing weights and walking everyday with exercise= a whole lotta weight loss :hurray::hurray::hurray:

I know what you mean by you always said you were gonna change but the weight just crept on you. Thats exactly what happened to me.

Keep up the great work:)
YOU CAN DO IT:cheers2:

Thanks for the encouragement everyone! First week has been pretty good. For the most part I've eaten healthier. I bought a pair of running shoes. The shoes I wore before weren't that comfortable. Hopefully this will allow me to walk longer. I weighed myself about 10 minutes ago and I am down to 305. Five pounds so far.
