Tighting up hamstring/butt, getting discouraged

Hi everyone,

I'm going to be in a play in three months which will require me to be, well, wearing little more than a bathing suit and am trying to get in shape as best I can for it.

I jog a mile almost every day, along with intense 10 minutes of a stairstepper, but I just cannot seem to tone the area underneath my butt. I guess it's cellulite, it just seems so out of place because I'm a pretty thin person, and after 2 months of this routine, (the mile and stairstepper) I cannot get any results there. I'm young, pretty toned elsewhere, I feel as though my work should be paying off somehow.

Any suggestions as to what will cure this? I really don't want to step on stage feeling insecure about it. Help!

As the guy above mentioned, weight training will do it for you.

Also, you know you can't spot reduce?

Do things like squats and deadlifts and other free weights. Stay away from the machines.

I can't give advice on cellulite removal I'm afraid but I've found that the number one bum exercise is the deadlift. My arse has gone a bit J-Lo since I started doing them but there's zero sag!

Nothing will change your appearance faster than lifting heavy weights: heavy full (ATG) squats, good mornings, deadlifts, SLDL, full leg presses, etc...
