so this thread is a bit old, but i just wanted to say that i hope that you didn't go through with this line of thought, E. i've struggled with eating problems two times in my life, and both times were absolutely horrible. the second time i barely ate anything, then when i WOULD eat, i would want to throw it up. . . . i actually forced myself to throw up in a restaurant bathroom once because my boyfriend's dad was trying to get me to share an appetizer with him and i couldn't bear the idea of adding the calories. instead of getting something better for me, or having ONE of the appetizers or limiting my portions, i ate and then threw up.
it was god awful. i was so unhappy and tired all the time. absolutely miserable. i would not wish that on anyone, and i feel so much better about myself now that i'm doing this the RIGHT way. and if i fail, i'll get back up and do it again until i get it right. use the forum as your support system. you can do this! you want to lose the weight and KEEP it off!! throwing up food first of all doesn't make you lose weight (the majority of calories are consumed in something ridiculous like 10 minutes), causes major health problems, and even if you DID lose weight - do you really want to utilize that as something to get you there? wouldn't you rather stick to a plan you could use for the rest of your life? i dunno about you, but i hate puking and don't really idealize the thought of doing it for the rest of my life. but eating tons of fruits and veggies that are delish? sounds awesome!
we're here for you!!! and you've done terrific work so far! that's something to be proud of, and if you feel like you need an extra boost, add some more intense exercise or drink an extra two cups of water!
Thanks, that last paragraph was suprisingly motivating lol.
No i did actually attempt to throw up on 2 occasions which im not very proud of but both times my body didnt allow it and i didnt like attempting it so i havent since.
