Those thin friends who should be fat...

Yes it angers me.They can glob on Pizza and cakes etc etc and stay thin.I have to say though since i shed my weight and in a good frame i noticed i can eat alot and put nothing on but sometimes i put on fat then in a few days i will be thin like i was a bit weird

That weight that goes on for just a day or two will be water retention due to either TOM (for women) or high levels of sodium in your diet. If you do not monitor your sodium - you should do so and keep it to under 2300mg sodium per day. You can use a free account from to monitor your sodium levels. Also drink plenty of water - 1 ounce for every two pounds of body weight.

A lot of us suffer from water retention and see enormous weight gains.

^ Excellent points, and reason to not get too obsessed about a few pounds here or there. I don't weigh myself daily because of occasional TOM water gain/loss. I've also read that increased potassium intake in relation to one's sodium intake--as well as sufficient water--helps with retention as well.
 
females will notice more water retention around the time of their period also. I recall one person on here would get 8lb gain right before, and drop it a couple of days later. Insane!
Mine was usually only 2-4lb. Or if i was loosing, it stayed the same and the week after i lost twice as much :D
