This time!

Hi all this is my first time post.
Its been a long time coming but after a recent interaction with an endoscopy procedure and the medic stating "lose 50lbs or suffer heart disease or diabetes!" I have finally realised I need AND want to start living healthier again.
In the back of my mind its like there has always been a nagging of sorts where I feel restless and almost guilty about how I have treated my body over the last few years as far as a bad diet and lack of enjoyable exercise are concerned.
Now at long last I am preparing myself and at the risk of procrastinating this Saturday the 4th I am going to start looking after myself better and have recently purchased an eliptical trainer, punch bag and soon a bowflex xtreme 2 SE. I am planning on starting gently and work my way up realistically rather than dive in like previous and unsuccesful attempts at regaining a healthy lifestyle.
Anyhows, wishing you all well and will keep posting............ :action7:

Time to mentally prepare isn't always a bad thing. Just make sure you use the time to plan though, and actually think about your new lifestyle. Don't just use it as an excuse to binge eat until Saturday as it'll probably make it harder to change over.

Have you thought about healthy eating plans, meals, and how you'll deal with hunger and cravings?
It might be a good idea to do some research into low calorie snacks that you like and make sure you have them in the house before Saturday comes.
