Hi all. I'm new here and have decided, along with millions of others, that I will lose weight in 2009! I have successfully lost weight with WW in the past, but I find it hard to count points every day of my life and that's when I start to gain again. My husband and I both want to be healthier. I'm not looking to be model thin. I just want to be healthy again. I have chronic back problems and with exercise, I have finally gained the strength to not feel "fragile" anymore. Now I need to eat better so I can look and feel better.

I look forward to updating you all on my progress and encouraging you all in your own journey to health!

It sounds so tedious when someone says i dont want to count for the rest of my life. personally I don't know how one could lose weight without counting calorie (or points). How are you supposed to know whats going in if your not watching? As annoying as counting calories may seem. I find that after time it becomes easier. most people eat the same general things over and over in different combinations and at this point i have a lot of imgredients calories memorized and i simply keep them in a journal in a simple note pad document on my computer. it helps me keep track of what i'm consuming and to be consious of it. also to be able to notice trends that may have affected my health and weight. If you really dont want to count or if you do and it just doesnt seem to be becomming natural the best advice i can offer is to keep all your food as natural as possible (this means staying away from frozen, canned, or boxed premade food). replacing snacks with raw veggies and a calorie wise dip like low fat sour cream onion soup mix dip or low fat ranch dressing would be a good idea. avoid adding butter/margerine, oils or salt when you can. try using spices and herbs or onions when cooking to give your food a stronger flavour instead. avoid adding extra calories with drinks by trying to stick to water. even things like frozen concentrate juice is loaded with sugar which leads to more calories.
sorry it's a bit of a ramble but it's everything i could think of sor now :p Oh yeah highly advisable to read the stickies :D
Welcome and good luck :)
