I am trying to loose 50 to 60 lbs more. I started a year ago weighing 349 now I am 236 I am walking 3 miles almost ever day I lift weights not real heavy I do bench press curls dumbbell and barbell pull down's leg lifts and reverse leg lifts dumbbell squats military press and cable rows then I do squats, toe touches, forward walking lunges side lunges and reverse lunges, twist, squat and thrust, push ups and planks. It takes me 42 min to do my walk and it takes any where from 50 to 75 min to do the other exercises. I am hopeful to loose down to 200 by Christmas. My diet is 1 cup of cheerios and a cup of coffee for breakfast a piece of fruit for snack 3 hrs later lunch is 2 pieces of whole wheat turkey or ham 4 delli slices is a serving 2 pieces of tomato and cheese (1 slice) and tea, then 3 hours later a piece of fruit and supper is 8 oz fish 2 veggies 32 oz water and that usually is it some time I have a little pop corn. oh I also drink 1 gal of water a day and maybe 3 glasses 32 oz ea of tea. I just wish I was loosing weight faster than 2 to 3 lbs a week . If any one knows why I am not loosing faster please let me know. thank you Lei

1-2 pounds is a healthy rate per week. Anything more and the weight you lost will be unsustainable. You didn't gain it all in a week. It takes time to lose it all too :) Just have patience, as long as you're losing, thats the main thing

Since you now weigh 236, and a good rate of loss is 1% of your bodyweight, you are right on target...losing 2 to 3 pounds a week. Don't be in such a hurry to lose it all too quickly...you are more likely to gain it back in such cases.
Patience and willpower, my friend...you are doing fine!:chillpill:

Yup. YOu need to manage your expectations. To lose any faster than that would be an unhealthy rate of loss and you'd be more likely to gain it back later.

I also think you're not eating nearly enough for the amount of working out you're doing.

[COThank y'all very much for all the kind words and help. I know I didnt get this way over night and that its the 2 to 3 lbs a week is what ever one says. I was just wondering if my work out was substantual to tighten up my body and skin also If like Kara said if I was eating enough and the right stuff. When I was younger the weight fell off a lot faster it seems. I just wish I could get in to some smaller and cuter clothes. wi4LOR="Magenta"][/COLOR]
