when i sorted out my eating habbits i was eating twice as much as i used to but loosing weight. so, in a sense for some people (like me) itsnot how much you eat, but what you eat. also eating at the right time is important - dont miss breakfast! eat only when your hungry, food is there for sustinence not as a cure for boredom or a bad habbit. listen to your body and your (new) mind - do you really need to eat another sandwich?
i began to play tricks on myself. if i had a sandwich a few years ago, it was always 4 bits of bread with lots of filling and mayo and extra mayo on the side. now, ill make 1 sandwich (2 bits of bread) if im still hungry, ill have another one. break old habits, but do it slowly, and make sure you really stop that habit in its tracks. once youve stopped one thing, move on to the next. dont expect it to happen quickly, after all it took all your life for the fat to get there so its not gonna dissapear quickly.
i used to think i didnt eat a lot of food, too, but i did! im maths dyslexic and cant add or anything so i found a way around measuring food, one day when i was hungry i decided to cook a typical meal of mine (about 10 different veg in veg juice and tomato sauce with rice) i made loads of it, and put it in different sized microwave boxes. each time i weanted that meal i would have each of the boxes, and found one size that fills me enough so im full but not stuffed. now i use these boxes for most of my meals - it stops me from having "hungry eyes" and filling my plate full of food i dont need btu will eat anyway cos its on my plate
theres ways around everything, you sound motivated enough! just get out there, find out whats going wrong and work on makingit right
