Well I just signed up here, I'm new.. and very scared. I've tried losing weight my entire life, I'm 23 now and I'm ready to be done with it. I guess since I was 8 I've had a problem with my weight. I weigh 236 now, the highest i've ever weighed. My first goal is to hit 215, and my overall goal is to hit 160. I've tried to diet before.. with absolutely no luck and i feel so very bad about myself after i fail (eating that cookie, or nibbling that fri) hopefully this time I'll succeed. Instead of cutting all the foods I love completely, I'm going to ween myself off of them.. cut down. However, Im starting my excersize program immidiately. I'll hit the gym five days a week and walk for 30 minutes, and steadily increase from there, and I drink plenty of water anyway, so that won't be so tough. I hope you all can give me a bit of support, everyone in my family is thin.. so it's hard. wish me luck, i'll need it :eek:
 
Welcome aboard and good luck...as far as the dieting, dont veiw it as dieting - you are about to embark on a life style chanigng journey...being here and starting a diary is an awesome start...sounds like you got the plan now you just need to put it into motion...Im gonna check in with you and see how you are doing doing :):):)
