thicker neck

any suggestions and exercizes for building a thicker neck, please include the exercize and how often to do it

Thanks

There isn't really a plethora of 'neck exercise' out there. Neck size usually comes with overall muscle growth. I supposed shoulder and trap exercises might stimulate a bit more growth out of the neck, but there is only so much you can do. Can't recommend any exercises as I don't know anything that targets the neck

When I was wrestling back in high school (80's) we used to do bodyweight neck rotations. Not sure what to call them but basically you laid on your back and lifted yourself up with your head, arms, and feet and then just held yourself up with your head and feet. From there you moved your neck back and forth and in circles.

Made our necks more flexible and stronger but nowadays that exercise seems really dangerous :)

i already do forward and reverse bridges it helped my strength, i have alot of strength in my neck, but want thinckess

You simply have to put on overall quality weight through a proper diet, and a properly constructed full-body routine.

And, simply keep worken' it.

And, this simply will take some time. One can manipulate their training/diet, and attempt to optimize recoverability (messing with days of rest, and types of food eaten), etc, but building muscle simply takes time, and people "generally" have a misconception on how long (this time) means in the general sense.

Let's face it. For "most" people (understanding genetic exceptions) their body has a greater efficient capacity to put on fat than build muscle tissue, and right here is the problem, quite simply.

The natural body builders you see that are legit (legit meaning no marketing manipulation bull-****) appear this way through several YEARS of work, dedication and persistence to their chosen fitness goal.

Gots to put the work in. Fall down when making mistakes, and get up. Fix it, repair it, and repeat for the win.

And, some who embark on fitness goals, simply make it confusing/difficult than it really is in the basic sense of the definition.

IMO, Leckbass, you need to stop focusing on specific body parts (assuming you have been training for a very short while, and no imbalances), and focus more on:

1. Education.

2. Diet.

3. Constructing a proper weight routine--focusing on progressive overload.

4. Give it time to work.

5. And, what you want will follow.

Best wishes

Does your template have a blank spot where you're supposed to fill in the OP's name when you copy+paste your responses?

The biggest necks I have seen on people come from linebackers, wrestlers, and interestingly enough, swimmers from the 08 oly french team. Wtf was up with that?

Chillen, i totally agree with you. I have beel training for about 2 years, I started fat and weak, now i am stronger, a lot less fat, and more muscular. One problem is that in the last few months, i hurt my back and my elbow. I need to give them time to heal, but i dont want to stop working out. I'm trying to continue to do good exercises without reinjuring those areas, my neck is one of them.

My back is almost 100%, but my elbow limits some of my basic exercises, i cannot do deadlifts or chinups right now cause my elbow kills, but i can still bench and squat. When i am 100% i will go back to all of the basics.

As for nutrition, its pretty solid, slow and steady. At first (2 years ago) i lost a lot of weight. Now my weight hovers around the same range all of the time, but i do a body fat % every 3 months, and it keeps going down, but i keep getting stronger. Overall, i am happy.

This is the reasons i am trying to improve certain body parts right now.
