Hi,
Im Mandy, I've been trying to get into shape for about a year now. I just moved to a new place and don't really know anyone to get some support from, so I figure online is going to be my best chance! =) I'm 22 and 5 foot 10 inches. My highest weight was around 190 lbs, and in the before pictures I was about 185. I dropped about 50 lbs in 6 months and am still trying to loose about 10. I have an awful self image. As much as my hubby tells me I'm beautiful nothing seems to stick. I still think I need to drop more than 10 lbs, but we agreed thats where I would stop. Anyways just looking for some support, and hoping to make some friends along the way!
Thanks

you look fantastic... :)

you're husband is correct, you are beautiful...

Off topic question... did any of your body art change shape with all the weigh you've lost?

I think you look fantastic. Maybe you would feel better if you just toned up a bit---not that I think you need to. Get a little definition from some weight training or something.

ha ha yeah some of my tattoos shrank. the one on my tummy is about 1/4 smaller and the ones on my arm goes farther around and up higher on my shoulder. =)
I decided to try the carmen electra stip to fit dvd's. Oh man are they fun! I started yesterday and I feel great today, got the muscles burning and everything!

You look great!! I definitely think that 10 lbs is the absolute maximum that you should lose now - and if you build up some muscle from working out, your body will change without actually needing your weight to go down at all! I think that it is such a clever decision to have you and your husband agree on a minimum weight and stick to it. It is so easy to get carried away and end up unhealthily thin.

Years ago I went from 14st 2lbs to 11st 11lbs, so thats what, 19lbs dropped, and some days I could look in the mirror and honestly not see any difference at all. The mind is a strange thing. I had lost a lot but I still felt bad about my body image, comfort ate, and put it all back on again  . It is good that you've got a level headed, supportive guy :)

PS - I know how I am doing with my figure by how high up my tummy my appendix scar is ... the higher the better !!

so I bought another "strip to fit" dvd and this one is cardio and toning (taking your suggestions :)) and I gave it a try, boy does it hurt. But I feel great!! I even convinced my husband to do the workout with me in the mornings before he goes to work (not the stripping of course ha ha ha). Almost tempted to get a new bathing suit! Thanks for all the support! does anyone have any suggestions for keeping the motivation going? I find thats my biggest problem, keeping up with what I start!

You look great! What a fantastic accomplishment! You'd be quite fine right where you are, in my book at least, but another five to ten pounds wouldn't hurt. I agree with the others here, don't do more than that.

Congrats on your progress so far!!!! you are doing a AWESOME job. I know what you mean when it comes to getting bored of workouts. You just gotta switch it up all the time. Don't have a steady schedule for each workout. just do something each day. one day you run ,walk. The next day you do one strip dvd, the next you do weights, and etc..... Good luck to you and STAY POSITIVE:D

Excellent! I am also 5'10- And If I looked as good as you do now, I would be extremely happy.

Respect to you!!

Thanks for all your support!
I'm down about 5 pounds, but this long weekend is killing me. I just want a beer and a burger! =)
not too much more to go!

Wow! You look amazing! I can only hope to improve as much as you have. You really are inspiring a lot of people, at least I would imagine with that amazing weight lost! The occasional "cheat" is okay, especially if you do extra workouts for a few days. I've found the more I try to stop cravings, the worse they get and I just end up binging... BLACH. Anyways, great job!

Wow

Hi. I am with the COhens Lifestyle support and was just looking aroung the site and WOW. What a change in ur whole body!!! For motivation, just walk past a mirror. U will c how gorgeous u look and u wil find that spark that keeps u ticking over!! Toning always makes a difference and give it time- these things cant be rushed for the best results. Do what makes u happy and have variety then u will not get bored. Also what did u do to lose the weight?? I can hope that my results look along ur lines. Im 24, 88.1kg (lost 4.7kg in 10 days) with this Cohens program and hoping to lose total of 32kg by end september. I think its acclompishable but u always have doubts.
