The No Needles Goal Club

OK, I've just read through the Belly Button Goal thread, and although I think it's a fab idea, and I'd love to do it... I have a very big fear of needles! So it wouldn't work for me.

I'm sure other people feel the same about needles, so how about a spin off idea... with no needles attatched! Anyone whose ever wanted to do something like dye their hair or go for a spray tan, or anyone who wants to reward themselves with a holiday away, can aim for it here!

Just give yourself a target and a reward, and we'll go from there! Oh, and if you do want to involve some form of needles, like tattoos or something, feel free. Though belly button piercings are going to need to join the offical Belly Button Ring Club ;)

i'm too old and too chicken for a bellybutton piercing, and i was just saying to myself the other night, "Self, whenyou lose 25 pounds, you will go to your colorist..."

it's a luxury for me, one that desperately needs doing right now.. (my gray was cute at 16, it's not cute at 41...)

I think a "rewards" club is an awesome idea...

I think a rewards club is great as well, and I admire the creator of the Belly Button Ring Club, but like I said... needles...

Cool, I can count you in if you want?

I may already be going grey, but I dye my hair dark blue reguarly. I'd love some pink and blue extensions. Stupidly bright ones though :D

My outlandish goal: if I ever get down to 130 lbs I will get another tattoo :D

The belly button one is my reasonable goal ;)

Great idea for the thread dear, glad to see people following suit!

:p :)

Yep, fantastic idea! Must be a genius who came up with it :) Wish I was brave enough to get a piercing. I'd really like a tattoo though, like one my mum had; a dragon clutching a celtic knot. But again, needles. One day, there'll be a perminant spray tattoo, like in Star Trek or something. Then I'll have my way, mwahahaha!

Fraid the most daring I get though is my blue hair :p

I don't think I have any long range goals for when the weight comes off - just being able to buy "normal" size clothes is exciting enough for me ;)

I already color my hair regularly, I get my nails and toes done every two weeks, but I never buy clothes, despite my dh prodding me to do so.

This year I bought a pair of jeans and a top for my birthday, and one other pair of capris. Last summer I bought a bathing suit. Aside from that, I wear what's been in my closet for ages.

I know I'll have to buy clothes soon, the 20's I'm wearing are getting too big, and I have one skort in my closet from 1995 that is a size 18 and one pair of jeans from 1990 that are a size 16.

That can be a reward, buying a/several new outfits. I'm going to need to do the same soon. Not because my jeans feel too big, just because the only shop in town that supplies baggy jeans in my size is closing down. So I'm going to be a bit screwed for trousers now.

It would be great if you joined us :)

Wooohooohooooo!

Ooh, ooh, me! (Waving hand frantically in the the air.) I've got one...

Next summer, when I should have easily reached my goal, I am going on the vacation I have been waiting for for years! My twins will be old enough to stay a week with the grandparents, and we are going to Cedar Point, Ohio! YEAHHHHHHH!!!!!!! I am a roller coaster fanatic - enthusiast is not a strong enough word for how I feel - and that is the greatest coaster park on EARTH! I am going, and I will not worry in ANY of the lines about whether I will fit in the seats. I will be light, fit, and able to walk all day long, riding rides on a week long pass!!!! YEAHHH!!!!! WOOO HOOO HOOOOOOOO!!!!!

twinmom, that's so cool!! I love your enthusiasm as well, I love enthusiastic people! Sounds like you're going to have a really fun time as well!

Would you like me to put you on the list? I like to confirm people, which is why I'm the only confirmed person :p

sure

Sure. It is going to happen, barring any catastrophes that would keep us at home. I would go even at my current weight, but it will be SO much more fun without 100 extra pounds to lug around the park! WOO HOO!!!!!

Ooo! I haven't been to Cedar Park in 31 years!!

You'll have a great time, and YES, you won't have to lug all that extra weight around!!

But of course you can count me in...

I think i'm gonna go for manageable goals and minor rewards...

Fixing my hair color being the first... having it professionally done is so much more of a treat than doing it myself... so... that'd my first reward at 25 pounds..

Yay, two more people with goals :) Best of luck with them!

Well, after stepping on the scales, I've sorted out my targets. When I lose 10kg (about a stone) then I'll get blue extensions, and if I reach my target weight of 75, then I'll get some pink ones as well :p

YAY I made my first mini goal!!! and now to find a salon that does hair coloring... :) It needs it badly - the roots are awful :)

Yay, first goal complete! Go you, dude! Good luck finding the salon, and make sure you post pictures ;)

5 kgs til I get blue extensions :D

My mini goal and reward is this: Once I get to 270-260 lbs, I'm joining an aerobics class. I haven't taken one for 5 years and I loved it. (I have all my goals planned out and rewards LOL)

then my second one is to make it to 200 lbs and then I'm going to take a hip hop class because I love to dance.

Then may last goal/reward is when I get down to 150/140 lbs, I want to take a stripercise or pole dancing class hahaha  (you know like on Oprah!)

I'm going to be one hot mamma. LOL

Wow, they sound like fantastic goals! And the pole dancing classes... that would be incredible! I wish you all the best with that, and of course, plenty of luck getting into "the industry"! Heehee, saucy ;)

LOL...mmm don't think I'm going to go pro or anything like hahaha...just for fun at home :) I hear that the pole classes really help tone your upper body because you need a lot of upper body strength to hold your self up there.

In three years when I build my own house, I'm having an exercise room and I'm going to put a pole in it LOL to work out
