The little things that matter...

So what are those little things you are noticing when losing weight that you never thought of before? They are like little rewards that happen for losing!

Here is my list:

1. I have a collar bone! I love seeing it in the mirror now!

2. Shoes fit better! I could probably fit in a size smaller, not from length but width, its great not having to buy "Wide width" shoes!

3. Putting socks on seems to get easier every day!

4. It's great to be able to walk at a moderate speed and talk to the person next to me without even thinking about pausing for breath!

5. Sitting in kitchen chairs with arms, I dont feel like they will break off the sides from the pressure from my hips!

6. When in the car, I can put the seat at a comfortable distance from the dash and not worry about the steering wheel coming anywhere close to my belly!

7. My husband mentioned the other day how nice it was to comfortably put his arms completely around me now! :)

8. I think the best part might be trying on my smallest clothes that were tucked away in my closet and having them get too big!!

Please share your little rewards!! :)

That is a great list! Congratulation on your huge success. Keep it up!

The only reward I can think of right now is the ability to run a mile straight without passing out or the like. (Well, I am exaggerating the passing out part.) I do not do it often (~265# is hard on my already bad knees) and it usually takes a week of working up to that distance (quarter mile one day, half a day or two later, etc.). My gym trips lately are either four miles walking at a good clip (which takes under an hour including the 5-minute automated cooldown) or weights for 30 minutes and then two miles in 30 minutes.

The next reward I am looking for is another size smaller pants. That is a ways off and this plateau is killing me!

I suppose it could be seen as a reward to force myself to eat better. The quality has always been good, but now I am reducing the frequency and quantity.

thats awsome I can valge for most of those
-buying smaller close when I was bigger and forgetting I had them now there too big on me so I never got to wear them (which let me tell you im not sade about at all)
-Feeling like my arms are smaller
-not feeling anything swing side to side when I walk that was a big one
-getting comfortable with people touching my body Like my one friend gives me hugs and now he said he cant give me enough hugs
-getting confused at the stoe at old navy I always used to have to buy XXL now I find myslef reconfiguring my size

I know what you mean about Old Navy! Its nice not to bring an armload full of xxl and size 20 (their biggest) to the register!
