The final challenge

Right to cut to the chase, been bulking for quite a while and happy with how things are all over, except the core (obviously had to sacrifice this for the sake of the bulk).

Now there is not too much fat on there but I still want to get rid of it while still maintaining the weights program at the same time. I don't want to lose weight, just lose the remaining fat on the body that is centered on the core.

If I did a brisk walk three times a week for an hour, in between the weights days, will this trim the core? Would this be enough without affecting muscle retention? Or should HIIT be the go? Diet is not a problem as everything is good in that department.

What do your workouts consist of now? Only weights? Are you doing HIIT currently or looking to add it? What does your diet include?

The trouble you're going to face is that you can't spot train. If you have excess fat, then your body is storing calories. your body stores calories when it takes in more than it can burn off. The only way I know of to lose fat is to increase your calorie burn or decrease your calorie intake. I'm not sure that a walk would be enough to outperform whatever you are eating right now to bulk up. HIIT might do it, but honestly, I'd cut back the cals (especially from sugars and alcohol) for a little bit to see what happens or do both as HIIT should increase how many you burn. As long as you keep up your weight training, you shouldn't drop an ounce of muscle.

Just my thoughts. I'm sure the men in the house have more to say on it. Good luck!
