Sport The Deadlift Challenge!!

Alright so I was thinking we should have a challenge to help motivate ourselves and each other to improve our lifts. Well the deadlift anyways.

So here is what I propose, increase your deadlift by 50lbs by March 1, 2008. This challenge begins on Nov 1, 2007. And this doesnt depend on what you currently lift. That gives everyone exactly 4 months to put on an additional 50lbs of iron to the bar. Now you have to take into account what you actually lift at this time, not what you used to lift 1 month ago.

Dont think I forgot about the ladies either. Ladies that enter the competition will strive for a 25lb increase to their lift.

Rules
No straps can be used.
Current max lift of within 2 weeks of November 1st will be starting point.
Thats all the rules.

For any newbies to deadlifting, you'll find a 50lb increase very achievable and greatly rewarding.

Well you had to pick the WORST 4 months for lifts - wrestling season lol. Hopefully I can get my deadlift back up. I got 300 at May 19th comp, but I'm not near that anymore. I might dead near/max soon and see where I'm at.

Only 3 people have committed to this and posted figures so far, what's holding people back?
Lets see if we can get 10 at the very least to get a good bit of competition and support going

I'll do it, with my puny little legs, but a question first. I have never tried to figure out my max, but would it be equivalent to getting what I'm doing 10 reps at right now up 50lbs, or would that be way harder? I'm somewhat afraid to find out my max because I don't want to wreck my back with bad form.
 
50 lbs in 4 months? Psh...consider it already done
