Jackie xx
I look forward to you telling me about it! I hope you like it, young lady!
Yep, 12 to 14 hours with plenty left in the personal tank. Thanks to diet and fitness training. When I work these many hours, and I have a scheduled training session, I let my mind and body tell me whether I should train or not. It's an HONEST assessment not one where I just bail out without some thought behind it.
The body is an extraordinary adaptive mechanic and will adapt and over come more than we think--even in less then opitimal conditions, in my opinion.
I dont fret over small things, I just live and do what I can, and dont make execuses. I make educated reasons that fit within the confinement of my goals.
Even with all the hours, my body was telling me it could train, so I did within the outlines set forth by doc (just performing interval cardio sessions, and stretching for now. The shoulder is feeling great, but it hasnt had any weight applied yet--this will be the testing factor). Truthfully, I am in excellent physical condition, and one or two weeks of backing off weight training isnt going to hurt one bit. In addition, it doesnt bother me I can't go weight train.
I am in a healing process my body needs--in order to respond in a manner I want, and I consider it part of the training/healing process that has beneficial factors. One doesnt mess around with the shoulders they are involved in "practically" all movenents in weight training, and care must be involved or it WILL impact "nearly" all your weight training, and this isnt something one wants. I think the injury was my fault anyway. After review, I believe I was executing improper form on an exercise, and paid the price. Now, I have to PAY the PIPER so-to-speak.
I think I got between 5 to 5 1/2 hours a sleep the last few days, lol. Its funny though I have gotten about 3 hours less sleep, I havent felt like it. Its been only a few days, I am sure as time passes, the stress could come more apparent, but for now, there is no significant difference in energy or how I feel.
There are so many benefits to health and fitness. What I am going through is an example. All of the appropriate stresses in diet and in fitness training, can "assist" the body to step up to the plate--when life's responsibilities demand more from you. When it does the body and the mind can be prepared for battle and serve one rather well.
My job right now, is to give my body (left shoulder) the tools to recover through diet and rest to allow it to step up to the plate when I call on it to react in the manner I desire. The same desire I give and demand for training, is the same in recovery......they go hand in hand, and one MUST realize.
ROCK ON!
