The 30-40 pound Club...

I'm in!

About 6 years ago I weighed 235 pounds. Then one day, rather than turing left to go home, I drove straight to the Quick Weight Loss Center in Austin, TX. I was in a tight size 20 at that time and I just wasn't going to buy a bigger size. I have been over weight my entire life. I remember my mom putting me on the weight watchers diet when I was 10! (I am 31 now). Anyway, I lost 100 pounds and got down to a size 2! Then I got married, and got comfortable, and he like to eat out a lot, and I have now gained back 50 pounds! I can not go back to 235, i just refuse to weigh that much again. I have loved being thin and have got to do something about it now.

So, I am here, I want to lose 40 pounds by October, and I hope that we can all help each other out on this venture. I also use the calorie king to help me decide what to eat and how many calories I am getting in a day. Except I use the calorie king.com because it is always being updated. I also use a weight and calorie tracker called Fit Day. I love it, it was only $20 and keeps count of pretty much everything but sugar (strange in this day in age of Diabetes) They have a free a tracker on Fitday.com that is very basic and then the one that I bought from there that you can down load.

Lets do this together!

So guys i thought it would be a good idea to set a group up for peeps who are aiming to loose 30-40 pounds! Im 19 and am planning on shifting about 40 pounds but lack motivation... so thought this would be a good way for us with similar goals to gather and share what works for you!! So if anyone has any successful eating plans or advice share them here!!! Thanks guys!!

I'm 20 (21 next week!!!) and I'm also working on losing 40 lbs. I just started so I don't really have any advice yet haha. I'm planning on working out pretty much every day, or every other day with walking in between, I haven't entirely decided yet. I'm doing the 4 month challenge started by Nemesis, so I'm thinking, "10 lbs a month? I can probably do that!" Ha, i would *love* to get to my goal weight in 4 months, but realistically, including plateau periods, it'll probably take 6 or so... provided I keep on track...

I'm about 172lbs right now and I'd like to get down to about 135 which is 37lbs.
It seems like a lot to me but then I think about this article I read not too long ago about a man who lost 1000lbs through diet and exercise (monitored by doctors). Can you believe it? It gave me such motivation to continue on since the amount of weight I need to lose is so minuscule to that. I'm almost embarrassed to think I can't do this. We can all definitely achieve our goal or 30-40lbs. Good luck everyone!

:)

creepiness the similarities between us lol how tall are you?
